The First Mahindra Thar Roxx Auctioned for ₹1.31 Crore

Mahindra is once again making headlines with the auction of the first customer unit of the Thar Roxx, featuring the exclusive VIN 0001 insignia and a special badge signed by Anand Mahindra. This top-spec AX7 L diesel automatic 4WD variant is expected to attract a flurry of bids, with the auction running online from September 15, 2024, 5 PM to September 16, 2024, 7 PM.

In a similar move to 2020, when the 3-door Mahindra Thar fetched ₹1.11 crore at auction, the new 5-door Thar Roxx VIN 0001 is set to make history again. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to a non-profit organization chosen by the winner, with options including the Naandi Foundation (Empowering Girls and Women), BAIF Development Research Foundation (Rural Development), Watershed Organization Trust (Agriculture & Water Management), or UNITED WAY MUMBAI (Road Safety).

The winning bidder will not only take home the highly sought-after Thar Roxx but will also have the option to choose from seven striking color options: Deep Forest, Everest White, Tango Red, Battleship Grey, Nebula Blue, Burnt Sienna, and Stealth Black.

The first-ever Mahindra Thar Roxx with VIN 0001 was auctioned, raising ₹1.31 crore. Proceeds will be donated to a charity of the winner’s choice.

The top-spec 5-door Thar Roxx comes packed with features like dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and the driver’s display, ventilated front seats, 6-way powered driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, auto AC, and advanced safety features such as 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and Level 2 ADAS.

Under the hood, the Thar Roxx is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, generating 175 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and 4WD capability.

This auction marks a significant event for Mahindra enthusiasts, with the chance to own a piece of history while contributing to a charitable cause.
