In a move set to make electric vehicles (EVs) more accessible to Indian consumers, Tata Motors has announced significant price cuts across its EV lineup. As part of its “Festival of Cars” campaign, the auto giant has reduced prices for its popular Nexon EV, Punch EV, and Tiago EV models. The limited-time offer, valid until October 31, 2024, is aimed at boosting EV adoption in the country.
Nexon EV
The Tata Nexon EV, one of India’s best-selling electric SUVs, now comes with a price reduction of up to ₹3 lakh. This brings the base model down to ₹12.49 lakh, making it a more attractive option for customers looking to transition to electric mobility. The Nexon EV, known for its performance, range, and features, is expected to see an increase in demand with this new pricing structure.
Punch EV
The recently launched Tata Punch EV, a compact electric SUV, has also seen a substantial price drop. The cost has been reduced by up to ₹1.20 lakh, bringing the base model’s price to ₹9.99 lakh. This move positions the Punch EV as one of the most affordable electric SUVs in its segment, offering excellent value for eco-conscious consumers.
Tiago EV
Tata Motors has also revised the pricing for the Tiago EV, making it even more affordable for first-time EV buyers. The price cut of up to ₹40,000 brings the base model to ₹7.99 lakh. The Tiago EV, known for its compact design and efficiency, has been a popular choice for urban drivers, and this price cut is likely to attract more customers during the festive season.
Additional Benefits: Free Charging Offer
In addition to the price reductions, Tata Motors is offering six months of free charging at over 5,500 Tata Power charging points across the country. This initiative will help reduce the running costs for new EV owners and encourage wider adoption of electric vehicles.
A Festive Push for EV Adoption
Tata Motors’ aggressive pricing strategy is part of its broader push to dominate India’s EV market. The “Festival of Cars” campaign is aimed at capitalizing on the increased demand during the festive season, making EVs a more viable option for a larger section of the population. The company is already a leader in the Indian EV space, and with these price cuts, Tata Motors is poised to strengthen its position further.
This price reduction strategy aligns with the company’s vision of making EVs the go-to choice for Indian consumers, especially as the country works towards reducing its carbon footprint and promoting sustainable mobility.
The new prices and free charging offer are available at Tata Motors dealerships across India until October 31, 2024.
